Will the frame of the umbrella rust?
Most of the Beachkit beach umbrellas are made with an anodised aluminium frame which will not rust. The Steel frames are powdercoated which will provide rust resistance.
What does UPF50+ mean?
UPF means Ultraviolet Protection Factor. It is a numerical rating given to the umbrellas to indicate how effectively it blocks harmful UV rays. A UPF50+ rating blocks 98% of UV rays which is the highest rating available.
Can I use this umbrella in windy conditions?
These umbrellas must not be used in the wind range from moderate breezes to hurricane force winds as they could fail. Warranty does not cover the umbrella due to wind damage and we will not be responsible if proper care has not been taken in windy conditions. Please ensure your umbrella is put down.
Are there products available to help my umbrella in windy conditions?
Yes, Beachkit has sandbags available that help a top-heavy umbrella on a breezy day. We always recommend putting your umbrella down in windy conditions but these handy sandbags help secure your umbrella to the ground.
What sun protection do these umbrellas offer?
All Beachkit umbrellas have a UPF 50+ protection from harmful UV rays. Most have a silver lining on the underside which helps prevents the Ultra Violet rays from burning your skin.

Buy with confidence. This umbrella qualifies for a 2 year replacement warranty on manufacturing defaults. Receipt of purchase (date purchased online or receipt from retailer) and images of the problem must be forwarded to info@shadeaustralia.com.au - the product will be replaced on Beachkit's discretion only on the provision the damage has not been caused by wind damage or neglect.
