Shade Cloth is a fantastic way to create shade outdoors with flexible and durable fabric that, depending on the grade, can block up to 90% of UV from the sun. While shade is usually the main reason to use shade cloth around the home or business, there are some other lesser-acknowledged reasons including maximising your household's or business' energy efficiency! Shade cloth can lower cooling costs by reducing the amount of heat that enters a building. This can be done outside of the building or along the windows, as long as the sunlight is blocked before it enters.
