Parashade – The Swiss Watch of outdoor Umbrellas
Parashade umbrellas set a new standard in the world of outdoor umbrellas.
- Masterfully engineered.
- A statement of design and,
- The perfect fusion of form and function.
Designed, and hand-crafted in Capetown South Africa by an architect with a lifelong mission to make the most beautiful and functional umbrella in the world, Parashade is the most innovative thing to happen to the umbrella world in over a decade. With three international patents, it does everything any other umbrella can do, only better!
It moves effortlessly allowing the user complete freedom to position it exactly where they want it, when needed.
It tilts left to right allowing the user to cast the shade in the perfect position any time of the day, morning or afternoon.
It protects itself from the wind with an ingenious system called Gustbusta arms. As the wind gets stronger, the patented hinge plates take up the tension until a tipping point is reached and the arms ‘bust’ dumping the wind and saving the umbrella. When the wind dies down, a simple flick of the arms and the umbrella is completely reset ready again for action.
A parashade is an outdoor Parasol suitable for resorts, restaurants homes and hotels. It works wonderfully well around swimming pools where it can be easily wheeled to the nearest sun lounge and set up to provide the perfect sunshade. Made from structural anodized aluminium with a marine-grade fabric canopy, Parashade looks nothing like any other umbrella you’ve ever seen. Yet, there is something strangely familiar about it, as if it was just meant to be.
Looking under the hood is where the swiss-watch analogy comes from. The ingenious engineering that is gone into making it possible is truly a work of art. The cogs that control the parallel motion and the stainless-steel rotation pins all combine like the inner workings of a Swiss watch to do what from the outside appears to be a simple job but in fact has taken years to figure out.
Overall Parashade is an outdoor parasol whose time has come. Once you see one, use one you’ll have to have one.
