Eye Bolt with Collar

The beauty of using these Eyebolts with Collars is that you only need to drill through one face of the steel column. The nut is fitted on the inside of the steel column so it is unseen.  Unlike with a normal eyebolt which requires drilling through the entire column and fitting the nut on the outside.

Typically, Eyebolts with Collars are only suitable when you are working near the top of the column (typically 20-50mm down from the top). That is because you need to reach inside to tighten the nut. If fitting an eyebolt further down the column than this, then a traditional eyebolt or Eye-nut bolt will be required.

Eye Bolts with Collas are and excellent way to create a strong and stylish attachment point for shade sails. They are very strong and provide a much simpler solution than welding a lug to the pole as the attachment point.
